Chick Update

I have done plenty of research and I feel that I am ready to raise some baby chickens now.

I will be purchasing about 15 baby chicks (all females) of assorted breeds and colors.

When the hens eventually grow up they will lay eggs, which I will collect, clean and refrigerate.

I will have my very own supply of fresh eggs for breakfast every morning!

The chicks that (I think) I've decided to bring home will eventually lay brown, tan, speckled, light green to olive and white eggs. I'm really excited I can hardly wait to see my first egg! Even though that will be months from now.

I don't have any chicks yet but I plan to bring some home, sometime within the month of June. If not June then definitely July.

June - July 2009 : Introducing the SunnyStars Chicken Coop.

O.k. It might help if I got some pictures and I'm working on that. I've learned so much about raising chickens and it makes me want to do it even more. I think everybody should raise their own chickens but that's a whole other story.

I will be taking pictures, recording video and writing articles throughout the entire chicken raising and egg farming process. So that, if your interested, you too can raise your own chickens and have farm fresh eggs any time that you want them.

This is going to be an adventure! The Urban Chicken Coop Adventure! Unless you like the thought of your breakfast eggs coming from chickens that get abused daily then I suggest you stick around and enjoy learning from my experience.

Stay Tuned for important chicken updates.

As always , Thanks for stopping by!
